Board of Assessment Review

The Board of Assessment Review meets annually on the fourth Thursday in May for the purpose of hearing assessment complaints. Taxpayers who feel their assessments are unequal, excessive, unlawful or that their property is misclassified, have a right to have their assessments reviewed by the Board of Assessment Review. The 5 members are responsible for hearing assessment complaints and exercising judgment and discretion to render an impartial, objective determination on complaints of assessments brought before the Board.
