The Town of Petersburgh held a roadside clean-up day on Saturday April 19th. The event was sponsored by the Town of Petersburgh and co-sponsored by the C8 (PFAS) Committee, Friends of Petersburgh History, Petersburgh Public Library, Parks Committee, PVMCC, Cemetery Association, Petersburgh Independent Church and Petersburgh Baptist Church. Fifteen volunteers participated on this day, with additional residents joining the effort on other days. Approximately 30 bags of trash were collected at this event.

TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Petersburgh shall hold a public
hearing on proposed Local Law No. 1 of the year 2025 of the Town of
Petersburgh, A LOCAL LAW TO MAKE CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO LOCAL LAW NO. 5 OF THE
YEAR 2015, RELATING TO THE SITING OF MANUFACTURED HOMES, MICRO HOMES AND
RECREATIONAL VEHICLES FOR RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES.
The
hearing shall be held at 6:00p.m. on May 19, 2025 at the Petersburgh Town Hall,
65 Main Street, Petersburgh, New York. The Town Board shall hold the public
hearing to accept comments from the public on the proposed Local Law referenced
above. The proposed Local Law would make
certain amendments to Local Law No. 5 of the Year 2015. It would clarify that certain applications
relating to manufactured homes, micro homes and recreational vehicles would
require site plan review. It would set
forth restrictions on how long RV2s could be used residentially. The proposed
local law would also provide that when a mobile home or manufactured home is
being replaced, proof of adequate septic and water can be provided by the owner
in a number of different ways set forth in the proposed local law.

during her normal business hours, or on the Town website: petersburgh.org
